New Irmo Trash Collection Schedule Starts This Month

All trash pick-up in Irmo is moving to Wednesdays starting the week of July 29, the Town of Irmo announced this week.  

Town residents will place yard trash and household garbage at the curb to be picked up on Wednesday, July 31 and every Wednesday after that. 

Recyclables will be picked up every other Wednesday beginning Aug. 7. Recyclables will not be picked-up on the week of July 29. 

Town council voted at their June meeting to all trash collection to one day a week to reduce noise and make neighborhoods look neater.

Regular pick-up will continue through the week of July 26, including pick-up of recyclables.
