No New Details Available in Ascot Estates Shootings

No new information has been released in the shootings that happened in Irmo last Friday.

The families and friends of Tammy Parker and Bryan Capnerhurst have laid their loved ones to rest and the details of what really happend in Parker's Irmo home are still unknown.

John "Woody" Woodward, guitarist in The Jumpstart Band, said Tammy Jo was a vibrant and beautiful woman, and a great entertainer.

"She's a great person," Woodward said. "She made friends with anyone. She was the best."

"She always had a smile on her face."

Parker is descrbed as a "down home country beauty queen" having once been named Miss Gilbert, Woodward said.

Parker and Woodward have been making music for at least 12 years with Parker singing lead. 

Besides her musical talents, Woodward said Parker was an athletic person who enjoyed playing basketball and was a big Gamecock fan. 

And most of all, she was a loving mother and wife.

"They had a great family on both sides," Woodward said. 

Parker's funeral drew a very large crowd, Woodward said, showing how much the mother of two was loved. 

"The world has definitely lost a great person. She's an angel."

Woodward said what happend last Friday was "just a travesty."

Tammy Parker and Bryan Capnerhurst, of Batesburg-Leesville, were of Parker's Tackeria Court home with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Almost a week later, no one has been charged and rumors of what led to the shootings have been circulating throughout the community ever since.

What is known is that Parker and her husband, Brett, were home having lunch and Capnerhurst, an acquaintance, was invited over to the Ascot Estates home.

The sheriff's department did release a statement saying the department is and would release details of the incident after all evidence has been reviewed. 

Richland County Sheriff's spokesman Deputy Curtis Wilson said the department is looking at everything as a whole, including a report of a .

Wilson said he couldn't provide any more information because of the investigation but hoped details of the shootings would be released soon.
