Nominate a District 5 Student for Tri-District Summer Arts Program
The deadline for nominations for the gifted and talented summer arts program is Jan. 14.

Nominations for the 2013 Tri-District Arts Consortium (TRI-DAC) Summer Program are now being accepted for middle school students attending Lexington-Richland 5 schools.
The program is designed for artistically gifted and talented students who are rising sixth through ninth graders in the summer before the 2013-2014 school year, according to the District 5.
Nominations can be made by arts teachers, classroom teachers, administrators or parents for students in the areas of creative writing, dance, music (strings, vocal and wind/percussion), theatre or visual art.

The program will be held July 1 – July 20, 2013 on the Palmetto Center for the Arts at Richland Northeast High School.
The cost for the three-week program is $400.

Auditions for dance, strings, vocal wind/percussion and visual arts students are held on Saturday, March 2 at Richland Northeast. Auditions for students in creative writing, theatre and visual art will be held Saturday, March 9, at Richland Northeast. There will be no make-up auditions.
Nominations must be received by Jan. 14, 2013. Applications will be sent to each student nominated. Spaces for qualified students are limited.
