Nursery Road to be Featured in Environmental Commercial
The Champions of the Environment commercial will air on local television stations in Columbia and Charleston during the 2012-2013 school year.

Several Nursery Road Elementary School students have been selected by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control to star in a Champions of the Environment commercial, the school announced Thursday.
The commercial will air on WIS-TV in Columbia and WCSC-TV in Charleston during the school year.

The school has previously won the Champions of the Environment award in 2001, 2002 and in 2003.

Students were selected based on their current environmental activism and their interest in the arts/acting, according to a school release.
