Okra Strut Commission to Discuss Festival's Future Site

The Irmo Okra Strut Commission will hold its first meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m.

The agenda for the Irmo Okra Strut Commission's first meeting of the year will include discussion of the future location for the festival.

Last year, the festival got off to a rocky start with the location for the event uncertain. Just months before the festival was to be held, festival organizers were able to land the Irmo Village Shopping Center's parking lot.

A permanent home for the Okra Strut has been up for discussion among among the Irmo community.
