Patch Editors Visit Irmo Elementary School
Editors from Irmo-Seven Oaks, St. Andrews and Spring Valley volunteered to read books and talk about being a writer as part of the Give 5 program
Being a part of a community means giving back, so the Patch editors from Irmo-Seven Oaks, St. Andrews and Spring Valley did just that at on Thursday.
Spring Valley Editor Reilly Moore and St. Andrews Editor Tiffany Barkley joined me in reading books and sharing our experiences as writers.
We spent part of our day with Jennie Paddock's fourth- and fifth-grade students; Katherine Caine's second-grade students; Stacey Patton's fourth-grade students; Pollyana Buff's fourth-grade students; Nicole Bishop's first-grade students; and Morgan Rohrbaugh's first-grade students.

We had so much fun and it was truly a pleasure to spend time with all of the students.
Each year, as part of the company’s Give Five program, Patch employees volunteer in their communities. As a group, we rotate between our Patch coverage areas giving back to the communities that we serve.
