Irmo Elementary School held a ribbon cutting ceremony Sunday for the recently renovated facility.
Parents, students, teachers, district adminstration and community members gathere at Irmo Elementary School Sunday for a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The school was renovated using funds from the 2008 bond referendum.
Projects included new classroom wings, special needs classrooms and a new music room as well as renovating the school's gym and office area.

When Irmo Elementary was constructed in 1935, the school served first through 11th-grade students.
After the ceremony, guests were able to tour the school.
