A dedication ceremony for the new 3-acre Veterans Park in Irmo was held Monday.

The park, which is located on Palmetto Wood Parkway, features outdoor exercise equipment and a walking trail, and displays flags from all branches of the military. 

Members of the Irmo Arbor Day Committee, town officials, residents, students and veterans were on hand for the unveiling of the memorial plaque honoring veterans.
