Pawmetto Lifeline's new pet adoption center opens on Bower Parkway.
The Meyer-Finlay Pet Adoption Center, a no-kill animal shelter in the Midlans, opened its doors Wednesday.
The much-anticipated state-of-the-art facility, which is located on Bower Parkway, will offer adoption and medical services (spay/neuter clinic), and education and training programs.
Hundreds of supporters and animal lovers toured the 27,000-square-foot facility.

Pawmetto Lifeline officials say with the new center the organization will be able to save about 3,000 animals annually up from its previous rate of 800 rescues.
