Police Arrest Second Man in Fatal Gilbert Shooting
A second man wanted for the murder of a senior Gilbert man was arrested Friday night.

A second man wanted for the murder of a 72-year-old Gilbert man was arrested Friday night.
Lexington County Sheriff's investigators arrested Nicholas Scott Williams, 26, of 777 Bub Shumpert Road, Pelion, at about 10:30 p.m. Friday at the Scottish Inn in Columbia.
Both men are charged with murder, armed robbery and first-degree burglary.

According to arrest warrants, on July 28 Brady and Williams went to the home of Robert Lewis Mitchell, Sr., on Juniper Springs Road near Gilbert under the false pretense of buying prescription painkillers from him.
Detectives said both Brady and Williams previously had bought the painkillers from Mitchell at his home.

Brady and Williams allegedly went to Mitchell’s home with the intent to rob him of money and prescription painkillers, and then fatally shot Mitchell with a shotgun, according to the sheriff's department.
Police say Brady and Williams stole money, a safe, credit cards and the painkillers that belonged to Mitchell.
Detectives found the stolen safe in a vehicle at Brady's home. A shotgun and ammunition was also recovered from Brady’s home.
Both Brady and Williams are being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
