Irmo Police has released the name of the man shot by a homeowner Tuesday morning.

The Irmo Police Department has identified the man shot by a homeowner in New Friarsgate Tuesday morning.
Stephen Labrew, 22, was shot once in the upper chest and is in critical condition at Palmetto Health Richland.
Police say Labrew was shot by the homeowner after he went into his kitchen and saw Labrew entering his home through a window.

Police originally thought the man was shot twice, but later discovered there was one bullet that left entrance and exit wounds.
Labrew, whose address is listed in the New Friarsgate neighborhood, wasn't identified in an earlier report because he refused to give his name to emergency personnel.
