Police Substation Proposed for Chapin Town Hall

Chapin town leaders are planning to move into a new building, which is 15,600 square feet, as early as September.

Chapin's town hall could house Lexington County Sheriff's deputies after the building is vacated in the fall, according to a report from The State. 

Community leaders have proposed turning the building, which is located at 103 Columbia Avenue, into a police substation.

The town hall is currently home to the Chapin Police Department, the Municipal Court Office and other staff.
