Read, You Must: Star Wars Reads Day Events

Are you a fan of "Star Wars?" Do you like to read?

If so, celebrate them both by participating in Star Wars Reads Day.

Star Wars Reads Day is a national event that was created by Lucasfilm and its publishing partners — Abrams, Chronicle Books, Dark Horse, Del Rey, DK Publishing, Random House Audio, Scholastic, Titan Magazines and Workman, according to the Star Wars Reads Day website.  

There are three public events in the area today, which includes games, trivia, giveaways, and a chance for you to win Star Wars prizes.

Events planned in or near the Irmo-Seven Oaks and Lexington areas include:

• Books-A-Million on Harbison Boulevard, Columbia from 2 to 4 p.m.
• Comic Nirvana on Sunset Boulevard, Lexington  from 4 to 6 p.m.
• Books-A-Million on North Lake Drive, Lexington from 2 to 4 p.m.
