Report: District 5 Officials Cite Additional Actions in Chapin Teacher Case
A termination notice from the superintendent to Scott Compton — the Chapin High teacher who stomped on the American flag — list additional actions he claims are reasons for termination.

Lexington-Richland 5's superintendent has listed two additional incidents he claims are grounds to terminate Chapin High teacher Scott Compton's employment with the district.
In a termination letter obtained by The State (subscription required), Superintendent Dr. Stephen Hefner mentions two previous incidents besides one where Compton stomped on an American flag during three of his classes last year.
According to the report, Hefner mentions an incident concerning a liquor advertisement in the school's student newspaper he advised and one where he allegedly made comments to a principal concerning another teacher who lost his or her job due to reductions in spending.
