Report: Police Find Crack Cocaine in Irmo Man's Car
Police arrested Elsey after pulling him over for erratic driving on Dutch Fork Road.

Irmo Police arrested a 43-year-old man after they say they found crack cocaine in his car during a traffic stop.
Michael Allie Elsey Jr. of Irmo was driving out of the Walmart parking lot on Dutch Fork Road around 10:30 p.m. June 20 when police say he ran over a raised median, according to a police report. An officer pulled Elsey over for erratic driving.
Elsey stopped in the McDonald's parking lot on Dutch Fork Road, according to the report. While the officer was talking to Elsey, he noticed all the airbags on Elsey's car had deployed.
Elsey told the officer that he had been in jail at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on a narcotics charge and had just been released three hours before the officer stopped him, according to the report.
The officer noticed a crack pipe in the front seat of Elsey's car, according to the report. When he searched the car, he also found a piece of tin foil in the center console area that contained a "crack-rock substance," according to the report.
Elsey was arrested, charged with possession of crack cocaine and booked at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
