Report: Sewage Spills into Creek Near Saluda Shoals Park
Children and pets should stay out of the water in the affected creeks and streams.

An estimated 12,000 gallons of sewage spilled Tuesday into a creek that flows through an Irmo-area neighborhood, then through Saluda Shoals Park and into the Saluda River, according to a report from The State.
The spill came from a manhole on a sloped bank that leads to Yost Creek in the 2100 block of North Lake Drive, according to the report.
Yost Creek flows through the Coldstream subdivision and runs into Rawls Creek, which goes through Saluda Shoals Park and then into the Saluda River, according to the report. Children and pets should stay out of the water in those creeks for a few days.
