Report: Technology Center to Bring Development to Chapin Area

A new technology center planned for Lexington County could bring more growth to the Chapin area.

A planned technology center in the Chapin area could be the catalyst for more development of homes and businesses, according to a report from The State (subscription required).

The technology hub is expected to cost $13 million and will be located on 220 acres extending from Chapin High School to Brentwood Road, the report said. 

A local developer said plans are being created for residential and commercial developments that would adjoin the technology hub.
