The Seven Oaks Senior Center expansion is now open.
The Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission celebrated the opening of the 5,000-square-foot addition at its 200 Leisure Lane facility last week.
The space includes a large activity room that can be divided into three rooms and an expanded fitness area.
The expansion was funded by a Permanent Improvement Project (PIP) grant from the S.C. Council on Aging.
The Seven Oaks Senior Center provides health and wellness programs, support services and social activities for seniors. It also serves more than 23,000 meals per year to seniors in the area.
