Update: Incident Report Released in Ascot Estates Shootings

Update: 3:30 p.m.: An incident report released by the Richalnd County Sheriff's Department Monday shows Brett Parker, the husband of one of the victims, was waiting outside the house when police arrived responding to a call about the double-shooting. 

Around 12:30 p.m. April 13, all region four units were advised of shots being fired and arrived on the scene at 12 Tackeria Court in Irmo to find Brett Parker in the driveway.

According the report, an officer did draw a service weapon before handcuffing Parker after another officer arrived. Parker was unarmed. 

Other  deputies arrived and found Paker's wife, Tammy Parker, and Bryan Capnerhurst of Batesburg-Leesville, inside the home and unresponsive, both with multiple gunshot wounds. 

Only one page was released to the media. No charges have been filed. 

Original story: No new information into the have been released but Richland County Sheriff's Department assures the community that the investigation is being reviewed "diligently by investigators and forensic technicians." 

In a statement released to the media, Lott said the deaths that occurred inside the Tackeria Court home on April 13 will be "aggressively investigated" and that the department will release its findings after all forensic evidence can be reviewed and police have determine a timeline and facts surrounding the shootings. 

"The Sheriff added that there is a lot of speculation in the news and community about what happened – the Sheriff is assuring the family and community that this will play no part in determining what happened, but the results will be based on facts."

"... often cases can be complex and may take time to determine what happened – be assured that the Sheriff’s Department will not rest until we are able to establish those details."

Authories do know that of Tammy Parker, 44, of Irmo, and Bryan Capnerhurst, 46, of Batesburg-Leesville. 

Richland Coroner Gary Watts identified Parker and Capnerhurst on Saturday as the victims of the double-shooting. 

Both were pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, Watts said.

Parker's husband, Brett, was at the home and has been interviewed by the sheriff's department.

Rumors of what happend have been circulating through the community since Friday.

Watts did say the incident was not a result of a home invasion.
