Six Charged in Lexington County Meth Lab Bust
Lexington County deputies arrested six people for operating a meth lab at a home near Batesburg-Leesville.
Six people were arrested on Sunday when Lexington County deputies seized a meth lab at a home near Batesburg-Leesville.
The following were each charged with one count of manufacturing methamphetamine:
- Heather Lynn Brazell, 22, of Batesburg;
- Kevin Delano Duncan, 46, of Batesburg;
- Retha Rena Koon, 44, of Batesburg;
- Lacey Rae Langford, 27, of Monetta;
- Jared William McCullough, 34, of Leesville; and Jason Wayne McCullough, 36, of Batesburg.
Deputies received information on Saturday that a meth lab was being operated at Jason McCullough’s Buggy Road home, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said.

Once on the scene, deputies detected a strong chemical odor and removed all six people from the home.
Officers with the county’s Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team searched the home and found a clear, one-liter plastic bottle in a bedroom that was being used as a reaction vessel to manufacture the meth, the Sheriff’s Department said. Officers safely dismantled the reaction vessel.

Brazell, Langford, Jared McCullough and Jason McCullough each were being held at the Lexington County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
Duncan was being held at the detention center on a $25,000 bond and Koon was being held on bail totaling $17,500.
