Speak Out: Should Concealed Weapons be Allowed in Restaurants & Bars?
South Carolina lawmakers are looking at a bill that would allow concealed weapons permit holds to carry a firearm in locations that serve alcohol.

A state Senate panel on Wednesday pushed forward a bill that would allow concealed weapons permit holders to carry a firearm into a restaurant and bar.
The bill, which will move on to the full Judiciary Committee, also said CWP holders wouldn't be allowed to drink alcohol while carrying a weapon and that the owners of the restaurant or bar can choose to post signs banning firearms in their business. The owners could also ask anyone carrying a gun to leave the property.
