Speak Out: Should Jadeveon Clowney Sit Out a Season to Prepare for the NFL?

A Sunday column cause a big stir in the sports world when a writer suggested South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney should sit out the 2013 season avoid injury.

The column, which was written by Tom Sorensen of the Charlotte Observer, suggested Clowney should take the time off to avoid an injury like his teammate, Marcus Lattimore, in order to prepare for a career in the NFL. Clowney would be eligible to enter the draft in 2014. 

According to a report from Fox Sports, a source said that someone affiliated with Clowney was seeking information about an insurance policy worth up to $5 million in case of a career-ending injury

Coach Steve Spurrier laughs at the idea that Clowney should should sit out the season 

And on Monday, Clowney responded from his Twitter account to all the reports with the tweet: "I'm playing. LOL."
