Sprouts
Mattress Firm has opened a new location on the site of the old McDonald's on Harbison Boulevard, which was next to Denny's. The store is connected to Aspen Dental, which offers a range of dental services from extractions and fillings to crown and bridge work. Aspen Dental is scheduled to open on Dec. 28, according to the company's website.
Mr. PC has opened a second location on Harbison Boulevard in The Shops on Harbison Hill. Mr. PC offers a variety of services including computer repair, hard drive recovery, virus and spyware removal, cell phone repairs and more. You can also customize your iPhone or iPad with different designs.

Have a taste for some seafood, gyros or wings? Nick's has opened two new locations in the St. Andrews area — one on St. Andrews Road and another on Broad River Road. The St. Andrews location is open in the old Tony's Pizza while the Broad River Road location is open in the old Sammi's Deli. See what's on the menu here.
Shutters
Corner Kick, a store specializing in all things soccer in Irmo, is closing its doors, according to a report from The State.

The store is going out of business after serving the Irmo community for 25 years.
Coming soon
If you visit Harbison Boulevard often, you have seen crews working on a new development behind the new McDonald's located at the intersection of Harbison Boulevard and Park Terrace Drive. The lot was home to a medical complex but now you can see ULTA, which offers cosmetics, skincare haircare and more, is under construction. The new shopping center will also include a Staples, DSW (Designer Shoes Warehouse) and Home Goods.
