State Agencies Offer Free Identity Protection Webinars

Free webinars are being offered for those interested in learning how to minimize the possibility of identity theft.

The South Carolina Department of Revenue is joining the South Carolina State Library and the S.C. Department of Consumer Affairs to provide a series of webinars titled The Truth About Identity Protection.

The sessions, which will be held this Wednesday through Friday, addresses taxpayers’ concerns regarding security breaches, credit reports, and enrolling in credit monitoring services.

Staff members from all three agencies will be on hand to answer questions and address concerns during the online sessions.

• January 17, 2013 6:00-7:30pm
• January 18, 2013 10:00-11:30am

Sessions can be viewed from home or buisness online. The public can also view the Wednesday and Friday sessions in the State Library's computer training room in Columbia.
