State legislators removed a provision in the state budget that prohibited public schools from charging tuition for 4-year-old kindergarten programs, according to a report from The State.
On Monday, the budget conference committee voted to remove the provision that House members included in the budget.
is offering a new at a cost of $150 per student for 36 weeks.
