Garry Smith (R-Greenville)

“I’m looking forward to hear how she’s going to continue focusing on the economy. That’s the number one issue still, by far. But I also want to hear what she says about government restructuring and making the government more efficient for the people of South Carolina.

Things are pointing in the right direction as far as the economy goes, but ethics and ballot reform are also big issues in the House and with voters.”

Leon Stavrinakis (D-Charleston)

“I’d like to see her map out a real vision for creating jobs in the state. She’s talked about working hard every day to bring jobs here. That’s fine, but she hasn’t really explained what’s being done.

“We also can’t continue behind this wall of secrecy with the DOR Hack. We need to know what’s been done and how to correct our cyber security. We also need to know who has been held accountable.”
