This Week's Meetings: District 5, Irmo Town Council

Lexington-Richland 5

Lexington-Richland 5 Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. for a regular board meeting at Chapin High School. 

The board will meet in executive session at 5:30 p.m. prior to the regular meeting to discuss employment items, an employee grievance request,and an update on a lawsuit against the district concerning a student-led prayer (Freedom from Religion vs D5). 

The agenda (see attached) for the regular meeting includes a security and safety update, an update on the Vision 2015 plan, new magnet program proposals, a monthly financial report, a report on the 8 percent capital projects, bond referendum expenditure summary, and approval/discussion of several board policies. 

Tuesday

Irmo Town Council

A regular meeting will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Municipal Building at 7300 Woodrow Street.  

The agenda includes the following

•  First reading of Ordinance 13-01 to amend the Irmo Zoning Ordinance Article VI, Section 6-4, Parking, Storage and Use of Vehicles and Equipment in Residential Zones, to add item (4) 
• Approval to extend contract through 2013 for the Okra Strut Administrator
• Approval of a budget amendment in the amount of $36,100 to purchase a Chevrolet Caprice Police Cruiser 
• Approval of contract with AAA Well Drilling in the amount of $28,221.14
• Discussion of 2012 Okra Strut Final report compared to Town's financial summary
