Traffic Enforcement Scheduled for Lexington County

Speeding, driving under the influence and reckless driving among traffic enforcement activity

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and the S.C. Highway Patrol will beef up patrol in some areas of Lexington County for a weeklong traffic enforcement operation beginning Thursday, Oct. 13.

Deputies and state Highway Patrol troopers will concentrate on specific offenses or on problem areas identified by patrol observations, citizens’ complaints and statistics concerning traffic collisions, Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said.

State Highway Patrol troopers will assist deputies in conducting the traffic safety patrols in problem areas, Metts said.
