Two West Columbia Men Charged in Motor Vehicle Break-ins
The Lexington County Sheriff's Department announced the arrests of Samuel Xavier Guinyard and Robert Lee Jeridore of West Columbia.
Lexington County Sheriff’s detectives say two West Columbia men have been arrested and each face five counts of breaking into a motor vehicle.
Samuel Xavier Guinyard, 22, and Robert Lee Jeridore, 20, both of 600 Ermine Road, West Columbia, have both been charged with five counts of breaking into a motor vehicle.
Around 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 5, the men allegedly tried to break into five parked vehicles at homes on Flinchum Place, but was only able to break into one, according to arrest warrants.

A witness reported seeing the two men checking the door handles on the vehicles, a news release said.
Police say Jeridore was arrested after he tried to run away from deputies that were in the neighborhood.

Guinyard was later arrested after officers stopped a car that he was riding in.
Officers said they saw several pairs of sunglasses, a car charger and ear buds for an iPod in the car’s back seat.
Guinyard was also found with several CDs and a large number of coins, the department said.
Guinyard and Jeridore were being held at the Lexington County Detention Center on bail totaling $12,500.
