What's Closed for the Holidays in Irmo?
Here's a roundup of places that will be closed during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Irmo
Town offices will be closed through Wednesday. There will be no trash service on Tuesday, Dec. 25, and Tuesday, Jan. 1. Trash service will be delayed by one day. Normal pick up schedules will resume after the Christmas and New Years holidays.
Richland County

- Richland County offices will be closed on Monday and Tuesday in for Christmas and Jan. 1 for New Year's Day.
- There will be no garbage service on Christmas Day. Tuesday’s pick-upwill be collected on Wednesday, Wednesday’s pick-up on Thursday, Thursday’s pick-up on Friday and Friday’s pick-up on Saturday.
- There will be no garbage service on New Year’s Day. Tuesday’s pick-up will be collected on Wednesday, Wednesday’s pick-up on Thursday, Thursday’s pick-up on Friday and Friday’s pick-up on Saturday.
- The C& D Landfill and Lower Richland Drop-Off center will be closed on Monday and Tuesday for Christmas and Jan. 1 for New Year's Day.
Lexington County
- Lexington County administrative offices will be closed Monday through Wednesday for Christmas. They'll also be closed Jan. 1 for New Year's Day.
- Lexington County residential curbside pickup will operate under an adjusted schedule. See the schedule here.
- The 11 Lexington County Residential Collection and Recycling Centers will operate on regular hours except on Christmas Eve when they'll close at 3 p.m.
- The Lexington County Solid Waste Management landfill and transfer station will be closed on Christmas Day and Jan. 1 for New Year's Day. On Christmas Eve, it will close at 3 p.m.
- All branches of the Lexington County Public Library system will be closed Saturday through Wednesday for Christmas. On New Year's Eve, all branches will close at 5:30 p.m. and re-open on Jan. 2.
State government

- The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed Monday through Wednesday for Christmas and on Jan. 1 for New Year's Day.
- Other state offices will also be closed Monday through Wednesday for Christmas and Jan. 1 for New Year's Day.
Federal government
- Post offices will be closed for Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Most post offices will close at noon for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
Banks
- Many banks and credit unions will be closed Tuesday. Please check with your local branch.
Services
- SCE&G will be closed Monday and Tuesday, but their online and over-the-phone customer service center will be open 24/7.
- Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday for Christmas and Jan. 1 for New Year's Day.
