Patch: What’s your vision for Irmo? Why are you running or why should people vote for you?
Condom: “I have a positive vision for our future with our town flourishing. We need to continue conservative financial management and focus on more effective code enforcement and the safety of our town.”
Patch: What issues do you see Irmo facing in the next 5 years?
Condom: “I believe that if the finances are handled with care and the spending controlled that we will be in good shape. We should continue as a limited services town with concentration on police protection and of course, beautification.”
Patch: What’s your stance on the Okra Strut Festival?
Condom: “I believe the Okra Strut should continue and that we should use the location suggested by our Strategic Committee—in coordination with the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission. This would be of less costs to the town and a larger area for the festival.”
Patch: What are your thoughts about having chickens in your backyard?
Condom: “I don’t think it is appropriate with our zoning of Single Family Residential. I can also foresee sanitation issues and groundwater concerns.”
Patch: What are your thoughts on Irmo growth (zoning, annexation, etc.)?
Condom: “As long as growth is planned and appropriate infrastructure exists, then we should grow. Voluntary annexation is always good if planned.
Patch: What’s your stance on financial spending? Conservative or liberal?
Condom: “Conservative and further, no taxes.”
Patch: Anything else you want to add?
Condom: “I believe community service is very important and that is why I am running. I am hardworking with no hidden agendas. I want only the best for Irmo! I am in favor of transparency in government and full disclosure of pertinent information.”
