21 Lexington One Schools Win Palmetto Gold, Silver Awards

These schools were recognized for high levels of academic achievement and high rates of improvement, as well as for their efforts to close the achievement gaps.

Twenty-one Lexington One schools are recipients of the Palmetto Gold or Silver Awards, the S.C. Department of Education announced Monday. 

The Palmetto Gold and Silver Awards program recognizes schools for high levels of academic achievement and high rates of improvement. It also rewards schools that are closing the achievement gaps between groups of students.

  • Lake Murray Elementary
  • Lexington Elementary
  • Lexington High
  • Lexington Middle
  • Meadow Glen Elementary
  • Midway Elementary
  • New Providence Elementary
  • Oak Grove Elementary
  • Pleasant Hill Elementary
  • Pleasant Hill Middle
  • Rocky Creek Elementary
  • White Knoll Elementary
  • White Knoll Middle
  • White Knoll High

Schools recognized with Palmetto Silver Awards for general performance include:

This year, the South Carolina Department of Education recognized 662 schools and career centers for general performance, closing the achievement gap, or qualifying in both categories.
