Driver Killed in Beechwood Drive Crash Saturday

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the victim was not wearing a seat belt.

One person is dead after a fatal one-vehicle crash in Lexington County Saturday night.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol the driver of a 1996 Ford Thunderbird lost control going into a curve while traveling east on Beechwood Drive around 6 p.m. Saturday.

The driver drove off the right side of the road and the vehicle overturned. Troopers said the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Troopers said the crash is under investigation.
