Firehouse Subs Donates $19K in Radios to Pelion Police
The radios were presented to the Pelion Police Chief Thursday during a ceremony at the Lexington Firehouse Subs.
Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation donated four portable radios worth more than $19,900 to the Pelion Police Department Thursday during a ceremony at the Firehouse Subs at the Shoppes at Flight Deck.
The donated radios will allow police officers to immediately respond to calls and better communicate with dispatchers and other members of the police department, allowing them to arrive at the scene of an emergency quickly.
The Foundation has donated more than $5.7 million to first-responders and public safety entities across the nation, including more than $612,800 in South Carolina.
