Lexington Man Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash

The wreck happened around 9:50 p.m. Sunday on Jessamine Road in Lexington.

A 41-year-old Lexington man died Sunday after he crashed on Jessamine Road near Mineral Springs Road, according to the Lexington County Coroner's Office.

Anthony Charles Moye was driving his 2002 Cadillac Escalade in the 1800 block of Jessamine Road around 9:50 p.m. when he lost control and struck several parked vehicles, according to the coroner's office.

Moye worked as a firefighter with the Columbia Fire Department for more than 20 years, according to a report from WACH Fox. He was off duty at the time of the wreck.

Moye was pronounced dead at the scene from severe head and body trauma, Coroner Harry Harman said.

The Lexington County Coroner's Office and the Leixngton County Sheriff's Department are investigating the wreck.
