The total estimated cost to repair all of the streets on the list is more than $1.6 million.Â
Part of the money for the overall project comes from the Golden Hills Tax District Funds - $195,000 to be exact. In addition, the Golden Hills Homeowners Association offered matching funds of $100,000 to expand the project to include repairs to more roads in the subdivision. A total of $395,000 will eventually be spent on repairs to roads in the Golden Hills subdivision.Â
The town will have to go through a bidding process to find a contractor for the work. That may take several months.
