Lexington Police Investigate Car Break-Ins, Credit Card Fraud

Police say the woman in the surveillance photos tried to use a stolen credit card at a bank.

Lexington police are trying to identify the woman in the surveillance photos in connection with two car break-ins.

Between 7 and 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, someone broke the window of two cars parked at a business in Lexington and took a purse from each car, according to the Lexington Police Department.

The woman in the surveillance pictures tried to use one of the stolen credit cards around 11:40 a.m. Friday at a bank in West Columbia, according to the police department. She has the letters "BES" or possibly "BEST" tattooed on her left wrist.

Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green urges and reminds everyone to not just lock the doors to their vehicles, but to remove valuables completely.
