Local Churches to Host Health Expo Saturday

The expo offers free health screenings and other health-related information.

Lexington residents can get free health screenings, pick up information from local businesses and enjoy live entertainment and games for kids at the 5th Annual Community Health and Safety Expo Saturday.

The expo is schedule for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rosenwald Community Learning Center at 420 Hendrix Street.

The free health screenings include vision, hearing, blood pressure, diabetes, prostate cancer, skin cancer and more. To register for prostate cancer and diabetes screenings, call Care Call at 803-296-2273.

The event is sponsored by New Bethel AME, Mt. Horeb UMC, First Baptist of Lexington, Spring Hill AME, Lexington Presbyterian Church and St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
