Minivan Driver Killed in Head-On Wreck Near Columbia Airport

The crash happened around 9:25 p.m. on Edmund Road.

The Pelion woman died in a head-on crash with a UPS truck near the Columbia Metropolitan Airport Wednesday night, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol. 

Faye C. Bone, 75, was traveling east on Edmund Road around 9:25 p.m. in her minivan when she crossed the center lane and ran head-on into a UPS truck, Trooper Sunny Collins said. Bone was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

The UPS truck driver was transported to a local hospital.
