As part of the competition, Pelion High broadcast production students created a short video highlighting the new Learning Commons at Pelion High. “A Space for 21st Century Learners” explains the three parts of the Learning Commons: the Open Commons, the Experimental Learning Center and the Virtual Learning Commons. Students tour the different sections demonstrating how the spaces support communication, creativity, collaboration and critical thinking.
The video is now posted on the Follett Challenge website for the public to vote for their favorite school, which will count for 30 percent of the school’s total score. The other 70 percent is based on a judging panel.
