Pelion Home Catches Fire Twice

The home was destroyed during the second fire.

A Pelion home caught on fire twice this week and was destroyed Thursday during the second fire, according to a release from the Lexington County Sheriff's Department. 

The home at 390 Summerland Court first caught on fire Wednesday. Firefighters responded around 6:30 p.m. and had the fire under control around 7 p.m.

Firefighters returned to the house around 1 a.m. Thursday after a 911 caller reported that the entire roof was on fire. The fire was under control by around 2 a.m.

The estimated damage is $175,000. 

The causes of both fires remain under investigation by the Pelion Police Department and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.
