Police Looking for 3 People Who Tried to Steal from Radio Shack

The three people were caught on surveillance video trying to break into locked cabinets at the store, according to a report.

Lexington police are looking for three people who they say tried to steal electronics Wednesday from the Radio Shack on West Main Street. 

An employee at the store said two men and a woman entered the store around 2 p.m. and were acting suspicious, according to an incident report. 

Surveillance video captured the two men in a storage room at the back of the store, according to the report. One of the men tried to break into a locked storage cabinet.

When the employee walked into the room, the man tried to hide behind some boxes, according to the report, and then told the employee he was looking for the restroom. 

Surveillance video also caught the woman reaching across the counter and trying to open the sliding glass doors where the more expensive electronics were, according to the report.

The employee told police that the men weren't able to take anything from the storage room because the cabinet was locked. He was unsure if the men or the woman took anything else from the store. 

The two black men were both between 20 and 30 years old, according to the report. One of the men was wearing a dark-colored Polo shirt and blue jeans. The other man was wearing a brown camoflauge jacket and blue jeans.

The black woman, who was between 30 and 40 years old, was wearing khaki pants, a dark shirt and a gray cardigan.
