Police: Man Bought Groceries with Counterfeit $100 Bill

Lexington Police are looking for a man who they say bought groceries at the Food Lion on West Main Street with the counterfeit bill.

Lexington Police are looking for a man who purchased $6.35 worth of groceries with a counterfeit $100 bill Saturday at Food Lion in Lexington. 

A white male made the purchase at the West Main Street Food Lion around 4 p.m., according to an incident report from the Lexington Police Department. He was wearing blue jeans, white shoes, a white visor and a button-up red shirt. 

The man left the store with $93.35 in change, according to the report. The cashier presented the counterfeit bill to the manager after the man left.
