Report: Women Steal Shower Curtain Hooks, Pillowcases, Dog Collar

The women stole the items, came back to the store a couple of hours later and returned them at the customer service desk, according to a report.

Lexington Police arrested two women Monday who they say stole shower curtain hooks, pillowcases and a dog collar from Walmart on Sunset Boulevard, according to a report. 

Janice Blair Martin, 46, and Sandra Lynn Britt, 47, were both charged with shoplifting. 

Martin entered the store around noon, picked up two packs of shower curtain hooks and two packs of pillowcases, and placed some of the items in her purse and some in the front of her pants, according to a report. She then left the store without paying.

A loss preventoin officer at the store saw her get into a gold van driven by another woman, later identified as Britt, according to the report. The two women drove away. 

While a Lexington police officer was at the store responding to the call about the shoplifting incident, the two women returned, took the stolen items to the customer service counter and returned them, according to the report.

On their way out of the store for the second time, Britt stole a dog collar, according to the report. 

The Lexington police officer arrested Martin and Britt and took them to the Lexington County Detention Center.
