Sheriff: Former Amazon Employees Stole iPhones, iPods from Distribution Center
The three men were arrested after the Lexington County Sheriff's Department conducted an investigation.
Deputies arrested three former Amazon employees who they say were involved in a theft ring and stole iPods and iPhones from the distribution center where they worked in West Columbia.
Willie Gerard Green, 32, of Berryhill Road in Columbia and Jamie Dewayne Harrington, 29, of Kingston Trace Road in Columbia are each charged with receiving stolen goods, according to the Lexington County Sheriff's Department.
Brandon Kelvontae Simmons, 21, of Reddick Road in Bishopville is charged with breach of trust with fraudulent intent.Â

According to arrest warrants, Simmons stole two iPhone 5s worth $1,456 from the inventory area at the distribution center on Jan. 17. Deputies say Simmons and Harrington conspired to take the iPhones and that Harrington received the stolen phones.
Amazon later terminated Simmons and Harrington.Â

Arrest warrants also allege that on Jan. 18, Simmons stole six iPod Nanos from the inventory area at the Amazon fulfillment center. Deputies say Green and Simmons conspired to steal the devices and that Green received the stolen goods.Â
Amazon also terminated Green.Â
Deputy Shannon Dykes conducted the investigation in cooperation with Amazon.
Green and Simmons were released from the Lexington County Detention Center Feb. 1 after they each posted a $2,130 bond.
Harrington was released Monday after posting bond.Â
