Tenenbaum Won't Seek Renomination to Federal Agency
The chairwoman of the Consumer Product Safety Commission plans to move on from her post.

Former S.C. Superintendent of Education Inez Tenenbaum says she will not seek renonmination as chairwoman of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, according to reports.Â
Tenenbaum, a Lexington Democrat, said Thursday that after four years, she's ready to move on, according to a report in The State newspaper. President Barack Obama appointed her to the position in 2009.Â
Her term ends in October, but she may be required to stay another year if a new chair has not been appointed yet, according to The State.
