VIDEO: Candy Buybacks Send Something Sweet to Troops Overseas

Candy buybacks offer cash incentives for extra candy. The treats are then sent to troops overseas. 

Here's where to sell your treats starting this Nov. 1:

  • Children's Dental Group, The Art of Dentistry, and Pitner Orthodonticsare buying back candy for $1 per pound to send to troops as part of Operation Gratitude. Candy will be collected at these locations on Nov. 5 and 6.
  • Carolina Children's Dentistry in Northeast Columbia will collect candy for $1 per pound for Operation Gratitude beginning on Nov. 1.

The Operation Gratitude website also encourages dentists, hygenists and patients to write letters to the soldiers. If you're looking to donate more than candy, Operation Gratitude also accepts commercially-sealed lip balm, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss and travel-sized mouthwash.
