Woman Charged with Concealing Evidence at Murder Scene

Rachel Rae Fremion of Pelion is accused of helping two men charged with murder in the 2011 disappearance of Michael Jody George clean up the murder scene, according to the sheriff's department.

A Pelion woman is in jail after Lexington County detectives say she helped a Gaston man charged with murder clean up his home to conceal evidence in a 2011 killing.

Rachel Rae Fremion, 33, of 1869 Water Tank Road is charged with accessory after the fact to murder. She is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

Deputies say that between Dec. 24 and Dec. 28, 2011, Fremion helped 36-year-old Jamey Charles Mallette of Gaston clean up his home on Busbee Road after he and William Thomas “Tommy” Embree, Jr., 34, kidnapped and killed Michael Jody George, 22, of West Columbia
