Ann Taylor Plans Move to Towne Centre

Upscale women's clothing store Ann Taylor will locate in Mount Pleasant Towne Centre this fall and so will Aussie Outfitter, which sells beachwear, sandals, novelty T-shirts, and casual apparel.

Towne Centre made the announcement Tuesday morning in a press release. Ann Taylor is moving into the former Sprint Store space located across from the Banana Republic, next to Copper Penny Shooz, on Belk Drive.  Aussie Outfitter is locating at 1309 Theatre Drive.

“We are pleased to welcome another quality retailer to Mt. Pleasant Towne Centre,” said Towne Centre General Manager Andy Lowe.

Over Ann Taylor’s 47-year heritage it has become a well-known resource for quality suits, separates, dresses, shoes and accessories with a feminine, polished approach to updated classic style, according to the news release.

Aussie Outfitter already operates a store at Northwoods Mall.

“Towne Centre acquires retailers that flatter the mix of established stores, and we are excited to add these new stores to our list. Offering new and fresh clothing lines and accessories is a way for Towne Centre to keep the shopping center up to date on fashion for our customers,” said Marketing Manager Kristi Tolley.

The Sprint store is temporarily located at 1305 Theatre Drive.
