Cops Search for Wig-Wearing Robber

Two men rob convenience store in disguises.

Police are searching for two men who robbed the gas station on Johnnie Dodds Boulevard this morning.

The two suspects, who wore disguises to hide their identity, held up the store at 11:42 a.m. Tuesday while brandishing a knife, said pokesman Capt. Stan Gragg.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male, 20 to 30 years old. He has a skinny build and stands about 6 feet tall and weighs 165 pounds. He was wearing a red shirt, gray pants and had a gray shirt covering his face during the robbery.

The second suspect is also a black man, 20 to 30 years old. He has a stocky build and stands about 5 feet 8 inches tall, police say. He weighs about 185 pounds and during the robbery was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt and regular denim jeans and black sunglasses. He also wore a long black wig during the robbery.

The suspects fled the location in an unknown direction of travel with an undetermined amount of money, Gragg said.
